About The Event
Walk description:
Join us on our walk up Urra Moor and Round Hill, the highest point in the North York Moors National Park!
Starting from Clay Bank car park, we will ascend via the main Cleveland Way route up to Round Hill on Urra Moor. The summit, it has to be noted, is nothing much, but there are great views over Roseberry Topping and the surrounding lands below.
From here we will follow the Cleveland Way to Bloworth Crossing along the old railway line, where the shadows of old sleeper planks are still visible within the soil. Then, heading southeast, we will walk for a few miles until we reach Cockayne, and cut back onto the moor heading west. There are no facilities on this walk.
We must stress that you are fully responsible for ensuring you are mountain fit and fully kitted out to take on whatever the peak…
