WILD Walks & Events in 2024
Abbie's 2024 diary will be updated regularly - please check back shortly for updates!

Why join a WILD Event?

Our WILD events are designed to offer an informal, stress-free day out and about in the beauty of the natural world. There's countless reasons why we think you would love to join us - here's just a few.

Social: our events are a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and talk all things outdoors and adventure! We all walk at the same pace and take our time enjoying each others company.

Health: walking is a fantastic way to help maintain a healthy body weight, prevent various conditions such a heart disease and high blood pressure, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve balance and coordination.

Wellbeing: spending time in nature or enjoying a good walk can do wonders for your mental wellbeing. Other benefits include improved self-perception and self-esteem, mood and sleep quality, and reduction in stress, anxiety and fatigue.

Adventure: our events are designed to pass through some of the most scenically spectacular and wildlife-rich areas in the UK. Along the way you'll learn about the history of the area you are walking through and occasionally get to enjoy some local cuisine!

Alongside planned WILD Walks, Abbie offers Forest Bathing workshops and Mindfulness Walks, ideal for commercial organisations who are looking to offer their workforce time to reconnect with a sense of purpose and self.

If you're still in doubt, why not drop us a message and we'll do our best to help!

Please note that we are currently unable to accept anyone under the age of 18 on our walks.

See our Leave No Trace Policy here.

Testimonials

“Abbie is a convivial host and knowledgeable about local wildlife, flowers and fauna. Abbie is great at including everyone and bringing the group together. The route itself was well planned and carefully considered. I particularly enjoyed West Kennet Long Barrow, I had never seen anything like it before, it was a truly unique experience going inside such an ancient burial chamber. I also really enjoyed meeting like-minded people who like to go for a walk and get outdoors as I do and I enjoyed the conversations I had. A great idea and well executed, I would very much recommend it to anyone :)” - Abby

“Abbie’s walks bring like minded people together who seem to totally get each other. Arrive as strangers, leave as friends” - Matt

“A really relaxed, amazing day with a lovely group of people. We had lakes, mountains, trees, fluffy cows, and fresh air. A wonderful day for the soul. Thanks Abbie” - Mark

“I had such a wonderful day meeting Abbie and spending time with a fantastic group of like-minded people in a beautiful part of the world. I suffer with social anxiety so I was already pushing myself out of my comfort zone by attending solo, but the warmth shown by Abbie on my arrival eradicated my nerves and made me feel instantly at ease. I felt relaxed during the entirety of the walk and shared some wonderful and inspiring conversations with the group. The circuit around Buttermere is truly spectacular, and Abbie shared with us some interesting facts about the landscape we walked within. Spending time in the wild with a group of people with a similar love for the outdoors is a healing thing, and I would recommend this to anyone. Abbie is truly a magical person and the joy she brings to so many is inspiring.” - Rosie
